&lt;p&gt;The Houston Production Managers Association (HPMA) began in 1982 as a small&amp;nbsp;group of print buyers employed by local advertising agencies.&amp;nbsp; They were seeking a network of peers where they could pick up the latest technology and trade war stories.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
Along with the print buyers who started the organization, HPMA began attracting a variety of vendors who supplied and supported the print industry.&amp;nbsp; This little group evolved and grew into the large vibrant organization we enjoy today.&lt;br&gt;
&amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;
HPMA presents educational, thought-provoking programs that feature the top names in the print community.&amp;nbsp; We support the education of young print professionals as we work closely with the College of Technology at the University of Houston.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
Besides being fun, our monthly meeting provides stimulating information we can put to practical use immediately in our jobs. We also give back to the community during the holidays with gifts for the needy.&amp;nbsp; We perk up summer doldrums with a Happy Hour and end every year with a festive get-together.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;
